The Chinese Immigrant Experience. The Friends of the Truckee Library offers the Chinese Immigrant Experience on Sunday, September 21, with activities beginning at 1:30 pm and continuing to 8 pm. This exciting afternoon and evening includes an authors' panel and discussion, live music, a barbecue dinner, a hike, and a dramatic presentation of Gunpowder Man by Jennifer Ly. Tickets are $55 available at the Truckee Library, the Bookshelf at Hooligan Rocks and Donner Memorial State Park. Proceeds to benefit the Truckee Building for Books fund.
