SUNSET DINNER Every Saturday night we offer a sunset dinner trip that has a wonderful combination of scenery, delicious food, entertainment and great service. The departure time varies with the seasons so you have time to see the countryside on the way out before a spectacular sunset. Our Executive Chef prepares excellent meals that are considered some of the best in the Central Valley. Because of our commitment to quality, the Sierra Railroad is considered one of the five best dinner trains in the West. In February 2007 the railroad was featured on the Food Network. For a bit of romance, our open-air patio at the end of the train was voted the region’s best place to steal a kiss! After dinner, you may relax in your well-furnished dining coach or retire to our Club Car that features a full bar and dance floor. Silver Ticket $56 + tax & service Your ticket includes a delicious three-course dinner and 32-mile train trip. Please confirm your departure time when you book your reservation. The 18% service charge includes a pre-paid gratuity for meal service provided by your waiter or waitress. Gold Ticket +$25 upgrade Our 'Gold Ticket' upgrade includes an excellent combination of added services. Your evening begins with priority boarding and premium seating that ensures a private table. In addition to our delicious 3-course silver ticket dinner, we add an appetizer when you board the train. There will be a complementary champagne toast at the beginning of the trip (non-alcoholic options available). You receive complementary soda, juice and coffee during your trip. Your dining coach will have a designated wine steward to assist you and expedite service. And finally, every lady in Gold Ticket service receives a rose.
