TURKEY TROT! Sparks Annual Turkey Trot - Thanksgiving Day.
Don't miss the fun — If you haven't made the Sparks Turkey Trot a part of your Thanksgiving tradition, you're really missing out. It's a great place to spend time with family and friends, and a healthy way to start a day usually filled with a whole lot of eating. Participants can choose from a 2-mile walk or run (non timed) or a 10K (6.2 miles) run (timed). All three races follow the beautiful 2-mile path around the Sparks Marina Park with the 10K event extending into the surrounding neighborhood. Everyone receives a commemorative sweatshirt and post-race refreshments. Advance registration is $25 per person, race day registration is $30. Two dollars from each entry fee will benefit the Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful organization for local beautification projects.
