From Balanchine pointe to Pilobolus bare feet; from favorite ballerina fairies to flying on a trapeze, Wilkins danced featured roles that showcased her artistic range and physical versatility. Arpino created his 2004 duet, Ruth, Ricordi per Due, for Wilkins and her frequent partner Willy Shives. Ms. Wilkins is honored to continue the legacy of Gerald Arpino legacy as a repetiteur for his works and the Gerald Arpino Foundation. Wilkins can be seen in the feature films Save the Last Dance and Robert Altman’s The Company. Maia Wilkins was born and raised in Truckee, California, began her dance training in tap, and then the opportunity to study ballet came when she was eleven. Wilkins received her formative training under MaggieBanks at the Nevada Festival Ballet School. She has also studied with Stanley Holden, the School of American Ballet, Dame Margot Fonteyn, Luigi, and Tina Bernal. She performed a European tour with Dennis Wayne Dancers in 1990.<br /><br />MICHAEL LEVINE has danced professionally for over 17 years. Formerly a principal with the Joffrey Ballet and American Ballet Theatre, Levine has had the pleasure of dancing numerous leading and principal roles. He has danced as Romeo in Cranko’s Romeo and Juliet, Death in Jooss’ The Green Table, Iago in Limone’s The Moore’s Pavane, The Lover in Tudors Lilac Garden, Albrecht in Freddy Franklins staging of Giselle, and The Prince in Ashton’s Cinderella. Levine has performed numerous Arpino and Joffrey works, including: Arthur St. Leon in Pas de Deesses, A Round of Angels, Sea Shadow, and Light Rain. Other leading roles include choreography by: Kylian, Balanchine, and Pilobolus.

Following the long-go on Sunday, the top 12 riders will be immediately brought back for the short-go performance; where the champion will be crowned based on the highest average score. <br /><br />Laughlin will also welcome the baddest, meanest, rankest one-ton athletes in the world. These bulls have thrown cowboys at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Houston, San Antonio and many points in-between. <br /><br />The Laughlin Xtreme Bulls event will be televised on ESPN and ESPN2 with eight-time PRCA world champion bull rider Donnie Gay handling the color commentary. 2010 Skate Odyssey ~ 4-10-2010 2010 Skate Odyssey ~ Reno’s premier women’s flat track roller derby team, the Battle Born Derby Demons (BBDD), are set to take on Southern Oregon Rollergirls of Medford, Oregon and B.ay A.rea D.erby Girls’ ShEvil Dead of San Francisco, CA, Sat. April 10 at Lawlor Events Center on the UNR campus.<br /><br />The event will feature live music by Authmentis. The beer garden and vendor area opens at 4 p.m. with doors opening at 5 p.m. Skating starts at 6!<br /><br />Tickets to this awesome double header are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, $10 for ages 6-12 and as always, FREE for 5 & under.
