Mt. Rose Chutes Challenge (re-scheduled from 2/27) ~ 3-6-2010 Mt. Rose Chutes Challenge (re-scheduled from 2/27) ~ Test your big mountain riding in the legendary Chutes at Mt. Rose. This ski/snowboard best line contest will take place in the El Cap chute, featuring over 1000 vertical feet and pitches ranging from 45-55 degrees. Participants will take two runs and judges will award points based on style, line creativity/difficulty, air and run time. The Chutes Challenge is free with a season pass or lift ticket. All ages welcome; must ski or snowboard at an advanced ability and helmets are required. Reno Events

Benefit Dinner/Part for Gary Slawter ~ 3-6-2010 Benefit Dinner/Part for Gary Slawter ~ This is a Benefit Dinner/Party for a long standing member of ABATE of Michigan. EVERYONE is Welcome. The event is on Saturday, March 6, 2010. The ALL YOU CAN EAT Spaghetti Dinner for $5 per person, begins at noon and ends at 7pm. Bringing a dish to pass would be appreciated, but not necessary. The party begins at 7pm. Gary is Sergeant of Arms for ABATE of MI. I met Gary personally, this past weekend and he is a SWEETHEART!!!! Gary is the first person to give help to those in need and now he needs our help. Unfortunately, Gary was involved in a serious motorcycle accident in the fall of 2009. Gary was severly injured and will require long term rehabilitation. The money raised from this event will help offset the cost of Gary's medical and financial needs. Come and eat or party at 7pm.
