Back by popular demand! DAVID MALDONADO PERFORMS LIVE AT THE SIENA HOTEL SPA CASINO PERFORMING FOR F ~ 3-5-2010 Back by popular demand! DAVID MALDONADO PERFORMS LIVE AT THE SIENA HOTEL SPA CASINO PERFORMING FOR F ~ Special Appearance by David Maldonado
Friday and Saturday – March 5-6, 8pm

The Enoteca Bar. Enjoy your favorite cocktails while enjoying the urban sounds of Reno’s most popular performers. The Enoteca Bar opens Friday and Saturday nights at 7pm with music beginning at 8pm. Late night Happy Hour begins with $3 drink specials at 10pm-12am.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Raised in a family where playing music was as natural as breathing, David Maldonado’s early influences encompassed a broad range of music, most notably Classical and Flamenco. By the age of eight, David was already an accomplished violinist, immersed in the Classic world of Bach and Mozart. When he was ten, David’s father gave him his first and only guitar lesson. That lesson awoke in him a passion that has never wavered. By the age of fourteen, David was performing classical guitar concerts at the University of Arizona. Two years later, he began to study under the world-renowned classical guitarists, Celin and Pepe Romero, and their father, the late Celedonio Romero, from whom David learned his incredible rasqueado technique.

The sounds of his childhood, Bach, Mozart and Vivaldi, complemented by Spanish masters such as Sabicas and the Romeros, inspired David to explore and perfect a broad range of musical techniques and styles. His music reflects the beauty and structure inherent in classical composition, at the same time bringing forth the passion, upbeat rhythms and fascinating gypsy scales redolent of Flamenco. The combination of these, along with David's incredible energy and stage presence, invokes a passionate response from audiences of all ages, taking them along on an exotic musical journey. Maldonado's CD trilogy collection, "El Amor de mi Alma", “Viaje de mi Alma”, and “Almas and Angels”, offer an enticing journey into this unique infusion of Flamenco, Jazz, and Classical styling.
