From Sacramento, Eastbound I-80 thru Reno. Exit # 20, Sparks Blvd. Left off exit ramp. Left at 2nd signal and U turn. Right at next driveway into Scheels/Legends Mall. Description: Around the Marina Lake on level sidewalks. 5k (3.1mi) includes the new outdoor Legends Mall with fountains, historic statues and sidewalk medallions. 10k includes Marina, neighborhoods, historic railroad depot, a park and an amphitheater. 11k(6.6 mi) includes all of the above. Event Comments: Registration: 9am -1pm Finish by 4pm. Around back of Scheels, in Mall area. Sign in and carry start card/waiver, to be returned at end of walk. Wheel Chair 5k only. No dogs in Mall. Oktoberfest Lakeport ~ 10-2-2010 Oktoberfest Lakeport ~ Oktoberfest will return to Lake County in the city of Lakeport, California on October 2, 2010 as the Lake County Chamber of Commerce presents the triumphant return of Oktoberfest. Featuring local brewers, terrific German music all day and some of the best vendors around. This will be a day of fun and excitement. Held the same day as the world-famous Konocti Challenge, the Lake County Oktoberfest promises some fun contests. Test your mettle at stein holding, pretzel eating and more. You can even become a sponsor of some of our contests, the beer tent, or even the entire event. What could be better than having your name associated with this great event? Don your dirndl or lederhosen and be part of our costume contest. Got a wiener dog? We're planning to have wiener dog races right in front of the beer tent so get your dog ready to run with this fun and wacky event.

World Championship Outhouse Races ~ 10-2-2010 World Championship Outhouse Races ~ Outhouse Races FREE to watch! Take an adventure back in time during historic Virginia City’s World Championship Outhouse Races. This hilarious Comstock tradition pits teams of costumed outhouse racers against each other as one person rides and the remaining team members manage to push, pull or drag the outhouse quickly down the track. The always outrageous outhouse parade on Saturday features Virginia City’s famous “Plungerettes”.
